Why Do You Need to Start Journaling?
People said,
if it’s not written down, it didn’t happen.
It is the same as when we set goals. Without clear targets, it won’t be easy to achieve. Indeed, life is sometimes let flow. But with exact journals and set targets, it can be easier to achieve them.
Since I was little, I liked writing diaries until I have a journal with a lock. The habit that probably made me like writing until now.
2021, I bought a unique journal book. To get used to it, I recorded (almost) all the unforgettable moments in my life. Or yea, a memorable moment that if I open to it someday, I won’t feel disappointed.
So, in this post, I want to talk about why you have to do things called “journaling”.
1. Targets Will Be Easier To Achieve
Yes, I have told you about this in the intro. You can disagree. But by taking notes on targets, let alone writing them down using handwriting, I think it will make it easier for you to achieve them.
You don’t need to set excessive targets. Within a day, if you are lazy, meet the easy targets first. Like a 10-minute workout, cleaning your car, or maybe just watering the flowers.
Long-term goals are also essential to write about. If you don’t like taking notes using a journal book, you can also choose to use a vision board.
Write down your big dreams on paper now, and look at the next ten years.
2. Good For Your Mental Health
Why is it easier to record what we want to achieve? And what does this have to do with mental health?
As far as I know, when we write down our targets or dreams on paper, indirectly, it will “remind” our subconscious to take action on our goals.
Thus, this is good for your mental health so that you don’t hang around!
Besides that, you can get other benefits. Kindly check this post:
3. Pills To Your Amnesia
I think it is the most stupid reason. In case you get a senile, you can open your journal book again, page per page.
This weird reason is also one of my motivations to keep writing enthusiastically. Take notes. Do journaling! So, if one-day (naudzubillah) you get amnesia, you can read and read again. Who knows, it helps you to remember.
Anyway, when we forget something, Allah has taught us to pray that we will be forgiven for whatever we forget:
Come on, start journaling!
