The world is being horrendous with Covid-19. During this coronavirus outbreak, I’m grateful that my office is applying for a work-from-home system. While writing this content, I’m a bit idle. Ok, it’s scrubby.

Well, today, I want to tell you about Tumblr. Specifically, a Tumblr user. As we all know, Tumblr is a microblogging and social networking website.

I’ve been using this app since 2011. However, I’m not an active user, I rarely blog on this app, but at least, I’m a loyal user. I do.

I once decided to quit using Tumblr but failed. I came back to Tumblr because it’s the one and only comfort media for me ✌️

I became very noisy on Tumblr when I was in college, and when I was single. Yea, the old me was very labile.

Since I know Natsir Arie and then get married to him, I rarely log in to my Tumblr. I have my human diary. Alhamdulillah.

Well, based on my nine years of experience in Tumblr-ing, let me tell you about Tumblr users' typical. Ehm, more precisely, let my know-it-all sense make it up.

Let’s dive right in.

1. An Ambivert

You wit this term, right? Ambivert is neither an extrovert nor an introvert. It’s the middle of those two characteristics.

An ambivert person is usually only open with those who are close to them. They tend to shut up when they’re in public or don’t want their personality known by people they’re not familiar with.

IMHO, an ambivert, is likely more comfortable speaking up on Tumblr. Maybe because Tumblr user isn’t as many as other social networking apps.

The concept is microblogging, a composite between Twitter and a blog like Medium. You can write a negligible post or share a meaty long story, whatever, that’s fine.

A Tumblr user maybe doesn’t mind if many people will see anything they shared on Tumblr. However, they tend not publicly to announce their accounts.

2. A Silent-Scream Typical

FYI, I’m not fluent in English. I recently activated a Medium to practice writing in English correctly. So guys, please, forgive my raggy language and grammar.

Back to the point, I’m a bit confused to determine it, but for me, a Tumblr user usually is a person who likes to hide away their feelings or tell their feelings in a silent, careful.

They can’t tell many people. Even actually they have a lot of things to say.

That’s it.

Am I like that? LOL. Maybe, sometimes.

3. Have A Bit Sense Of Art

No doubt. Anytime there are great images on Google, the majority of the sources are on Tumblr. Sometimes Pinterest. Still, I think the pictures on Tumblr are more artsy.

Other than that, there are so many thoughtful quotes on Tumblr. It sometimes hit your deepest heart. Wkwk, I exaggerated, I know.

To prove it, go check on Google image search with the keyword “Tumblr” — and you’ll never disagree with it.

Well, a Tumblr user is fantastic. They’re kind of creative people. Not me, of course. I can’t draw and never post eye-pleasing images. If I did, it must be a repost.

4. A Truthful Person

Ahm, not sure, I don’t know, I guess a Tumblr user is a truthful person. Maybe it’s related to the second point. They tend to shout what they want to express honestly.

They express themself just the way they are, rarely doing self-branding. They are just posting what represents themselves.

I’m not saying that a Tumblr user is an exclusive person. No. Not. Yet, for me, in real life, they’re typical of a kind person. Honest.

At least I hope that was right because this subjective thinking can be a part of prayer. Yea, I hope I can always be a truthful person.

5. A Polite Stalker

Stalking is usually an adverse action. But not for a Tumblr user. They master searching for a piece of information about something until they found its details.

And the good news is, they do it politely. I mean, crawling information for positive things. For their curiosity and tend to do nothing after that. Idk. Something like that.

I don’t claim that I’m an expert in looking for information. But I feel like getting information, moreover on the internet, is a challenging thing. I have to look for it until I get it.

Intermezzo

Be careful with a Tumblr user. Lest they already know what your tracks on the internet are. What things have you ever shared, what’s your interest, etc.😛

Okay, that’s it. As I mentioned in the title of this post, I just want to share with you the five tendencies of active (or maybe passive) people on Tumblr.

Again, it’s only my perception. If you find a Tumblr user that is not like this, let it go. Don’t mark this post as a benchmark.

I’m also not in the purpose of promoting Tumblr. Tumblr won’t pay me, anyway.

Whatever your comfy social media, blog, or whatever accounts that you use… I’m hoping that you can share good things. A beneficial thing.

Because…

See ya!

PS: Hope this global pandemic ends really soon.
